Colonizers game rules for Creating a field for beginners

field for beginners

It will be easier for you to get on with the game if in the first games the field matches the scheme from the first page of these rules. Assemble the six-piece marine frame, then fill it with hexagonal tiles – hexes. Place a numbered token on top of each hex. Pay particular attention to the placement of harbors.

The beginning of the game in the game with newbies

Take the building price card. Choose the color of the chips; take 5 settlements, 4 cities and 15 roads of the same color, put them in front of you, and place 2 roads and 2 settlements on the field. All your rivals do the same. If you need online assessment then hire an expert by paying fees through xoom but before transaction check your xoom transfer limit.

In a three-player game, red tokens are not used.

Place the cubes and special cards “Longest Path” and “Largest Army” next to the board.

Divide the raw cards into five decks and place them next to the board. The cards must be face down.

Finally, get your first income. Each player’s settlement, marked with a star on the diagram, brings raw material cards: all hexes adjacent to that settlement give the owner one raw material card according to their terrain.

Take the resulting raw material cards into your hand and do not show them to your opponents.

The senior player starts the game. On your turn, you perform mandatory and optional actions in the order indicated:

Gathering Raw Materials (Required): Roll two dice to see which hexes are paying off to all players this turn.

Trade: You can trade raw material cards with other players or with the reserve.

Construction: You can build roads like pgslot, establish settlements, build cities and / or buy development cards.

IMPORTANT: at any stage of your turn (even before collecting raw materials) you can play one of your development cards.

After completing the construction, pass the turn to the neighbor on the left: he will continue the game with his first action.

Collection of raw materials

Each of your turns begins with two dice rolls. Add up the results that fell on them: the hexes under the received number bring harvest, income and benefits to all the inhabitants of the island!

If your settlement is at an intersection adjacent to the rolled hex, draw one card for it. If there is a city in such a place, you are entitled to two raw material cards for it. Remember that you get raw materials for all your settlements and cities on the borders of the “income” hexagon.

Having collected the raw materials, you found surpluses of one kind and a shortage of another. How to fix the matter? Trade! There are two types of trading.

You have the right to put up for auction any raw material cards. Let your opponents know what you need and what you offer. They can come up with their own suggestions. Try to bargain for the best deal terms.

IMPORTANT: On your turn, opponents cannot trade with anyone other than you. They are prohibited from making transactions with each other without your participation.

If your comrades are not eager to share the necessary raw materials with you, there is another way for you: trade with your distant homeland.

  • Internal trade (exchange with other players):
  • Overseas trade (exchange of raw materials in reserve):
  • You can always exchange raw materials at a 4: 1 rate; hand over 4 cards of one raw material to the reserve and take one card of the other one you need!
  • More profitable overseas trade is possible if your settlement is in the harbor. A regular harbor will allow you to exchange three cards for one of your choice (3: 1), and a special one will exchange your two cards of a certain raw material for one any (2: 1).
